Photos - Costco Cafe Lights (also known as string lights)
I purchased a string of Costco cafe lights (also known as string lights). Overall they are a good product, well built, good price. These lights are best used for higher rigging than what I used them for in my yard. Because the lights are relatively low in my yard I wish the bulb was a little frosted. However, my wife and kids love them.

Photo - Foxtail Agave (Agave attenuata)
This succulent grows like a weed here in San Diego. When it reaches the end of it's life (8-10 years), this plant throws up a single beautiful flower that resembles a fox tail.

Photo - Concrete Mow Strip
Concrete mow strips are a great way to separate grass from planting beds. With a mow strip you can just drive the lawn mower over the edge of the lawn.

Photo - Pink Kangaroo Paw (Anigozanthus flavidus)
Kangaroo Paws are great drought tolerant plants that also are good cut flowers. Make sure to plant them at least 2 inches above the soil grade because these plants will rot if too much water pools around their root crown.
