Swallowtail butterflies are among the largest seen in Southern California. This morning I discovered two different varieties on the same plant. One was a Western Tiger Swallowtail, the other was an Anise Swallowtail. Bother butterflies were enjoying the sweet flowers of my Chaste Tree (Vitex agnus castus).
