  1. When should I cut this grass back? After the pink goes away? Do I have to cut it all down?

  2. The pink fades in January. I would give the grass a haircut in March. See my post below 'Plant Review - Pink Muhly Grass' for more info.

  3. The photo here is in my yard and I loved how the Muhly looked this fall and early winter. I just cut them this week, guess the hot weather we've had lately worked over the "blooms" a little early. I'm looking forward to these guys coming back strong next season!

  5. I live in Louisiana and I have 12 of these. I love them! Mine turn pink in October and everyone always comments on them. They do tend to have a many many babies though. I'm not a landscaper or a person who has any decorative plants. I got these because of the pink "plumage" and the fact that they could take a Louisiana summer. I've had them 3 years now and I wish I would have planted them 5 feet apart instead of the recommended 3ft. They over-lap each other :(. I've never really pruned anything before and I was wondering how I should attempt it with these beauties?
