We’ll compare wood mulch vs rock mulch—covering the benefits, cost, and coverage: 🌿 Wood mulch: $50–$90 per cubic yard (covers ~120 sq ft at 2–3 inches) but needs replacing every 2–4 years. 🪨 Rock mulch: $90–$400 per ton (covers ~100 sq ft) but lasts much longer without replacing. So here's a quick two minute how do you use Epsom salt to perk up your plants. So how do you perk up the roots of roses and other things like salvias, fruit trees, just about everything that you grow in your garden you want to. Feed the roots with some Epsom Salts. This great source of Magnesium will help the roots absorbs more nitrogen and phosphorus. Use 2 tablespoons per medium size plant. Doug shares a story about planting Bee Balm from his mother's garden and the beautiful results. These pollinator plants are great for attracting butterflies, bees and hummingbirds to your backyard garden. Bee Balm (Monarda didyma) has also been used for herbal medicine bringing relief from the following ailments: gas, nausea, upset stomach, indigestions, fungal infection, yeast infection, rashes, sore throats, headaches and sore muscles. Bee Balm also has culinary uses such as teas, salads, cooking meat, sauces and pestos. Bee balm is deer and rabbit resistant as well as a great cut flower.
