The Inez Grant Parker Rose Garden opened to the pubic in 1975 and it has grown into one the finest public rose gardens in the world. Here is a quick tour in March of 2021, about 1 month before the peak bloom. If you are in the San Diego area and you love roses, make sure to stop by. The garden is free and open to the public at all hours of the day. It is located at 2125 Park Blvd on the edge of Balboa Park.
Here is my go to tree for tight spaces. This is the Forest Pansy Redbud. This is a tree for all seasons. Dainty pink flowers herald the arrival of spring. Majestic purple foliage provides shade in summer. The cool crisp weather of Autumn transforms the foliage to various shades of yellow and orange. The beautiful architecture of the unusual branches are most visible in winter.

This is Coral Aloe (Aloe striata), one of the easiest to grow succulents around. The flowers explode in early spring and the hummingbirds go crazy at that time. The plant will get about 24" wide and 12" with a 24" tall flower.
