  1. Are plums from the purple leaf oriental plum tree edible and can you make jams & jellies out of the plum?

  3. Some Purple Leaf Plum trees have edible fruit. However, the variety most commonly sold in California, 'Purpurea' is not edible, although birds will eat the fruit.
