Photo - Mexican Bush Sage (Salvia leucantha)

Photo by Doug Kalal, taken at a client's garden in Rancho Bernado.

  1. I have planted these numerous times only to have them fade away and get all woody. When Doug made us a plan for our yard I had some misgivings, but we went ahead with them last March. They were spectacular! With proper instructions provided by Doug for fertilizing and pruning we had almost 6 months of blooming and then I cut them down to almost nothing in January. They are back to about 18 inches tall and are already starting to bloom - I'm looking forward to enjoying them once again this year. I guess you just need to know about care and feeding.

  2. We live in England,we saw Mexican sage when visiting Madiera. Can we buy seeds anywhere in England.
